Civil Wat Battlefield Tour pt. 2

Battle of Antietam (in Sharpsburg, MD) - single bloodiest day of the Civil War. The three major areas where the battle took place were the Cornfield, Sunken Road and Burnside's Bridge (all pictured below).

Civil War Battlefield Tour, pt. 1

This will be the first of 3 posts documenting my Civil War Battlefield tour Pop and I took this past Mother's Day weekend ;)

Up first, Harper's Ferry, WV - site of the John Brown raid and an industrial town that was occupied by each side 4 times each during the course of the war.
